Ben, on this pod you addressed those of us in the audience who share the disgust you feel for the Oval Office obscenity and might be confused by the cheerful manner in which you talked about it. I am sure you know that humor in general, and yours, in peculiar, errr I mean in particular, is a secret weapon that strengthens us and builds our resiliency for the work ahead. While some might think it unseemly to allow* mirth "with everything that is going on," a good laugh fuels our humanity, keeps our thinking sharp, and allows us to build a creative response.

After acknowledging the joking, you immediately encouraged folks to join you, Nastia, maybe an adorable (and very well behaved) 18-month old, and the estimable Robert at a White House protest. I wish I could be there.

Thanking you a million times.

My heart breaks for the people of Ukraine.

Anastasiia, most of the people in America support Ukraine and are horrified at how your courageous president was attacked by The Felon and his lap dog. America is behind Ukraine, it is the Administration and the Republican cowards who are not.

People who say Zelenskyy should have done this or that are fools. I think he showed remarkable strength and restraint. I am so embarrassed that no one in that room stood up for him. They are all complicit in the corruption engulfing our government.

I hope that We the People show even 1/10th the courage that Ukrainians have shown when we finally stand up to authoritarians trying to take over our government.

Blessings to you and your child.

When is JD Vance going to be called out for admitting to President Zelensky that RUSSIA invaded Ukraine? Did he forget to remember that truth-telling is NOT allowed in Trump world?

Ms. Lapatina, thank you very much for your perspective on this situation. Unfortunately, in my opinion, there is no silver lining left. This president (I purposely do not capitalize this word due to my complete lack of respect), his administration, and the entire republican party have changed sides. This is not a negotiating tactic. I fully expect that any return to the negotiating table with this administration will result in further attempts at humiliation. I fully agree with you that this president should not be asking Ukraine to pay back what was granted by the Biden Administration. Clearly, there is no limit to how low this president is willing to go.

We, as a country, failed to keep donald j trump from returning to the presidency. For that, I am ashamed and truly sorry.

More thanks from me, Ben. I am actually nauseated...felt as though I would throw up when I saw that horrible interview (which I had to turn off). When JD Vance dies, it should be with the shame of that event pounding endlessly in his head, though I doubt that it will be.

Marco Rubio looks like someone stole his soul. Seriously; empty, dead eyes and body language that shows no signs of life. He will soon be on medical leave, before relinquishing his position, is my guess.

Not likely. The consequences of such a move would be worse for him, and everyone else that sold their souls, and sold their country.

I think a medical crisis, real or imaginary, might be the safest route out for him. Woe to him if he quits due to conscience.
