The sunflowers are where they belong—in the ground across the street from the Russian embassy.
They survived their first 24 hours with aplomb. I stopped by to visit them and take these photos yesterday afternoon on my way out of town.

Trump Trial Diary, May 28, 2024
Because we live in the most absurd timeline, I find myself sitting next to Jeanine Pirro in the overflow courtroom 55 minutes before summations are set to begin in the New York Trump trial.
I want to submit that this week matters in the 2024 presidential election and the polling surrounding it. I normally tell people not to fixate on polls. But this week is actually a good week to pay some attention to the polls.
As we begin it, Trump leads in national polling averages by a narrow one-point margin, and he leads in key states by larger—but still small—amounts.
