With three distinct branches that stand side-by-side.
No one is the master, no one is the king,
That is the freedom of which we all sing. 🎶
The States have their duties, their borders and laws,
To protect every citizen’s rights and their cause.
This layered protection is how we stay bold,
Rejecting the chains of the stories of old. 🛡️
But lately the landscape has started to change,
Into something restrictive and terribly strange.
The police state has grown since the turn of last year,
Replacing our comfort with blankets of fear. 😟
Since twenty-twenty-five, the emphasis moved,
And community bonds are no longer approved.
When force is the priority over the grace,
It leaves a deep scar on the American face. 🚔
We must not be subjects to money and might,
Or let the billionaires dim out our light.
Big business interests don't care for the street,
Where real human beings and families meet. 🏘️
They lobby for power and lobby for gold,
While the rights of the people are bartered and sold.
But We the People are the ones in command,
The rightful possessors of all of this land. ✊
The way to stay strong is to get quite involved,
To ensure that our problems are locally solved.
By voting for those who put neighbors first,
To quench the unquenchable corporate thirst. 🥤
We need public servants who truly do serve,
With the courage of heart and the steadiest nerve.
To check the Executive when it goes stray,
And keep police tactics from leading the way. ⚖️
The Judiciary must be the shield and the wall,
To ensure that the Constitution won't fall.
And Congress must listen to what we all say,
To keep the Democracy working each day. 🏛️
Don't let the distraction of wealth make you blind,
Keep the welfare of people at front of your mind.
Our sovereignty means that we choose who will lead,
Based on our values and not on their greed. 💎
Go vote for the vision of help and of hope,
To give every community plenty of rope.
To build up the clinics and build up the schools,
By making the people the ones with the tools. 🛠️
The Lantern is glowing, the path is quite clear,
To wash away doubt and to wash away fear.
By standing together and making our choice,
We give every soul a magnificent voice. 📢
The sovereign power is yours to maintain,
To keep us from living in corporate pain.
With three branches balanced and people engaged,
A new better chapter is currently paged. 🇺🇸🕯️
