I still feel like Joe’s “decline” was pretty standard for his age, health status &personality structure. The “disastrous debate” if you experience it via transcript only is a different experience relative to *both* candidates performances IMO. I also believe fatigue &illness played an important role in Biden’s “performance” vs fresh off weeks of golfing sociopathic Trump’s performance. All that said I agree Joe shd have gracefully done one term and passed the baton to the process well in advance. Also 2 interviews on CNN abt Joe greatly outweighs 30 (or whatever) “mentions” of Trump maleficent real time actions on CNN … there weren’t (and aren’t enough) in depth interviews to specifically discuss that critical current events topic. I very much appreciate Ben’s measured response to the defensive defense of Tapper/CNN.
